Met up with Mum in town after work and went to the big Waterstones at Piccadily Circus, formerly Simpsons department store.
A beautiful art deco building, its rounded off with a bar on the 5th floor, so we did some browsing for books (Melvilles' Moby Dick, Mann's Buddenbrooks and Doestoevsky's Crime and Punishment for my holiday reading) and then shared a bottle of wine. |
